DEVELOPMENT

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS

Reaching the top, beating a teammate or break your personal record - every cyclist fights to meet his challenge. We are aware of your feelings. Whether it is the excruciating pain in your legs or the indescribable sense of fulfillment when the ride is over. You are a winner. FUTURUM rides with you.

1. INPUT & KNOWHOW

We stand very close to our customers through our #MYCHALLENGE campaign, FUTURUM Clubs and international customer service. Since we sell directly to end consumers, our development team always has a close connection with you as user of the products. Thanks to our huge experience, the knowhow of the cycling industry and the cooperation with (former) professionals, we are always able to create the best possible clothing and fabrics.

4 SEASONS

Maarten Tjallingii (on the right) and other members of the development team test under the hardest conditions.

“We only offer the best clothing and fabrics to our
customers. From the smallest detail to the finished product,
every single fabric is tested in the laboratory.”
- Harmen van der Meulen
(Founder of FUTURUM)

2. LAB

Instead of developing (only) stylish fashion, the FUTURUM development team focuses on the performance and latest technologies. We develop together with experienced industry partners and laboratories from Europe in order to have the best and most innovative fabrics, technologies and production process.

3. FIELD TESTING

We use the experience of (former) professionals, such as Maarten Tjallingii and Leopard Pro Cycling. By working close together with the teams and athletes, we make sure that our products will achieve a comprehensive amount of test kilometers. Also we make sure that our clothing meets the requirements of the riders, who use their bike every day in a professional environment. We take a lot of time for this quality control. For example, the development of the extremely popular 4 SEASONS collection took over two years! And we spent years to develop seamless Merino base layers.

4. PRODUCTION CLOSE TO HOME

We chose to have the production of our clothing close to home, so that we can keep track of the entire process. Apeldoorn, Veluwe, Italy, Portugal and more… They all play a big part in the success of FUTURUM. Our goal is to produce the best cycling clothes on the market. To reach this goal, we chose for an efficient, sustainable and eco conscious production process.
