Reinventing the 4 SEASONS Bib shorts

At FUTURUM we are very innovative minded. When we were developing the 4 SEASONS Bib Shorts PRO, improving water resistancy even further was our top priority. Thanks to the construction of outer shorts with sealed and taped seams, and inner shorts with the excellent FUTURUM PRO chamois, you are optimally protected against the most heavy rain showers. Modern elastic bands at the front and elastic mesh at the back keep the bib shorts comfortably in place. Thanks to the extremely breathable membrane, sweat is quickly removed, keeping your body dry.

Inner shorts

To achieve further improvement of the water resistancy, we disconnected the chamois from the shorts and sewed it into inner shorts. That way, the outer shorts contain full sealed and taped seams. At the same time, we managed to maintain the extreme high comfort level we pursue. The inner shorts are made of a mesh fabric for a smooth fit and provides some extra protection in cold conditions. Due to the new construction we were able to make the front different and slightly lower so that there is less pressure on the abdomen while riding. On top of that we added an extra durable fabric on the seat area to prevent wear and tear caused by rain and dirt.

PRO SEAT PAD

Thanks to its excellent cushioning, the PRO seat pad is suitable for any ride, even ones of eight hours or more. Wherever you sit on the saddle, the chamois perfectly matches your body's position, so it will always be comfortable and provide the best support. The zigzag structure of carbon fibres provides an antibacterial effect to keep the chamois fresh. Perforation provides a continual flow of air. This keeps the temperature around your bottom lower, dries the chamois quicker and reduces friction and irritation. The chamois is made of 10-millimetre-thick "high-density" foam for cushioning against the biggest impacts. The sides are comprised of 4-millimetre-thick ‘memory foam’ that conforms to your body. As with the other seat pads used in FUTURUM's range, a special production technology is applied. By shaving off the parts of the foam that are not needed, the density of the foam used in the insert remains equal over its entire surface.
