2021 PRO SEASON STARTED

The 2021 season has started for both Leopard Pro Cycling and SEG Racing Academy at Le Samyn. Not an easy race to start your season with, as this one features cobbles, short steep climbs, though opposition and Belgian roads. But the riders of the teams we support are not afraid of a challenge and a clash with the greatest classic cyclists of our time, like Mathieu van der Poel.

Finishing in the first group

The riders appeared at the start in their FUTURUM PROFORMANCE clothing and finished after 205 hard-fought kilometers in the city of Dour. Jarno Mobach, who won Paris-Roubaix as a junior in 2016 and is now a rider for Team Leopard, secured a steady result by finishing in the first group. “I am really happy with my performance at Le Samyn. The race was difficult, because of the route, but also the high level of the opposition. I am happy that I was still part of the main group that sprinted for the victory. It is always nice to start the season like this and it gives confidence for the coming races.

Daan Hoole (SEG Racing Academy) crossed the line in a hard-fought 18th place in the day, which previews a really strong season on his end. Daan Hoole: “I felt strong today and was aiming for a good result so happy to get Top 20. And also really happy with how I was feeling in a big race like this one. The team rode also super strong, always in the right position. Looking forward to the next race this Sunday”

Supporting the Pros

FUTURUM is the official clothing partner for Leopard Pro Cycling and the official casual clothing partner for the SEG Racing Academy. Leopard, the name sounds familiar. Being a UCI World Tour team from 2011 to 2013 with riders such as Fabian Cancellara and the Schleck brothers. During this time, team members wore the yellow jersey at the Tour de France and won many of the most important races in the world, such as Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders.
In addition to this project, Leopard has always felt obliged to offer young athletes a professional environment and a fair chance to develop. For this reason, Leopard Pro Cycling further develops some of the world's best talents in the past years as one of the top UCI Continental Team. By being the official clothing partner for Leopard Pro Cycling, FUTURUM works closely together with riders that race amongst pro riders and therefore know what is important in terms of high-quality cycling clothing.

SEG Racing Academy is a truly unique, independent, instructional U23 cycling development program which saw riders such as Fabio Jakobsen, Cees Bol and David Dekker make the step up to the UCI World Tour as Academy graduates. The ultimate objective is to provide young talents with the tools to succeed in professional cycling 100% clean and to be adequately prepared to enter the top division in cycling. With the feedback from the pro riders of the SEG Racing Academy we hope to take the product development to a higher level.
